Flashcards: Problems or questions
I LOVE the Flashcards. I have used the option to make my own. However, my list I create won't stay. I can use it but when I go away and try to come back to it, it's gone. What am I doing wrong? Quiero ayudar!

I just tried again to add another flashcard list and may have pinpointed the problem.
I think the problem is when you add more flashcards than the 10(') blank spaces that are there when you first open the cards. I just added enough words to fill up the blanks on the page without adding any more and got the litte green box....so it look like the problem appears when people add more than 10 cards/words

Forgot to add before that I had the same issue (not getting the little green button to go through the cards) 3 - 4 days apart so their is a consistent problem.

I am a hudge devote of the flashcards SpanishDict offers and am uploading my newest stack almost every week
For the past week I've attempted to upload my latest list TWICE. Both times the cards upload but the little green button fails to appear so I cannot use the features. This was happening before (right after the big crash) and those cards never came back up and I had to delete them.
I did notice on the second set that when I added the first 8 cards everything worked...when I went back and added more cards nothing came back up.

I've recently got back to using the site and found some of my flashcard lists gone. Creating a new one gave me a headache as it sometimes saved my entries and sometimes it didn't. The ones I created that are still here are now public and I am no longer able to edit them. Also, I'd like a function to make my new lists public so others in my class can use them. I really miss the old site.
HI Scott, the fact that all flashcards were pulic before gave us a lot of work to do as we had to correct almost all of them, there were a hell of a lot of mistakes in the lists created but forers. It took us weeks on end to correct them, which could only be done with the help of several forers who invested a lot of time doing so.
Your problem is easy to solve, you only have to give your link to your flashcards to your friends and they will gain access.

I am using internet explorer. I too watch as nothing happems!
Are you referring to the button that you see when you lookup a word in the dictionary that says Add to WordList? (See attached photo).
May I ask which browser that you were using when you tried to use it? When I tried to utilize that button (or the adjacent Bookmark button) with Google Chrome nothing happens. With Internet Explorer or Firefox I, at least, get the drop-down menu to appear, but nothing works from there. (I am asked to log on which I already am and then it just misdirects me to the forum page.)
I suppose these are items to be added to the TO DO list of repairs. Have you posted then in the discussion thread about non-functioning or incorrectly functioning features'
I am unable to add a word to my flashcards from the dictionary. It doesn't find my flashcards. It dose not allow me the choice of placing the new word into a specific flash card. Is this something your working on? Otherwise everthing is working fine.
shawn, I have not been able to log in with firefox since the site is up again. So I am not surprised, for some reason, the system has a problem with firefox.
I have checked your list. I have no clue why it is not working well. I have checked on my lists , some of them are very recent, and they all work fine.

Have you created more lists? Or does this happen on all of the new lists you have created? Please try to use another browser. You might be able to hear them correctly there.
Hi love your website and the flashcard feature. I created a new flash card list today and am having problems with it. One it is not saying every word even when I hit the little speaker button. Here is a link to the newest flashcard stack.

Today I have also been having problems logging in. I normally use firefox but could not get into the website today at all using firefox finally got in using Internet explorer.
1) I am not sure about the number of words, let's just use a limit of 60 and create two is necessary.
2) Yes, there were Spanish letters on the page. If you need to know how to type Spanish accents, look at this thread.
3) I don't have a problem playing my old cards. Have you tried another browser?
All lists are private by defect. This will not be changed unto further notice. Only Paralee publishes lists.

Thank you for the update and getting the flashcards back up. I cannot tell you how much I missed this feature. I also tried the link to get to the cards and that worked which is a great feature for my spanish study group.
I created a new list and it stayed but am still running into a few problems.
1) the new limit seems to be 65 not 80. I created 80 cards twice. Went in and used the system and when I logged back in there was 65 (I am pretty sure that is the number). I did this twice so the problem seems consistent.
2) at one time didn't you have letters with accents on this page so we could type them in? I know you did somewhere....anyway if you did its no longer on this page and would be hugely useful.
2) the flash card deck I created after the "Crash" and before today are there but I cannot "play" them. The green arrow never appears. I've tried opening it and adding removing a word or so but that doesn't help - not a huge issue but I thought I'd mention it. I've already gone in and erased 3 of the 4 decks that I created during the "problem" time earlier today. I've titled the one I kept as "~Spanish Made Simple Ch 11 BROKEN" if you need to see it.
Creating flashcards works fine now

Hi - I just wanted to give the admin staff an update on the flashcards. I love this option and have been checking in almost every day to see when they are back up.
I am very happy to report the old flashcards I created are up and working.
The flashcards I created since the site came up are "There" but I cannot access them.
Hi everybody, I have tried myself to create a fake list and I got this message:
An Error Was Encountered
Unable to load the requested language file: language/form_validation_lang.php
WE have to get that fixed first. I have given notice to the software specialist.
