In Spain we say "Soy Tyler" in general. In more formal phone calls, we say "Le habla Tayler", but never without "le"; otherwise it would sound weird to us (¿Habla Tayler? ¿Dónde').

If you say "Esto es Tyler", it would sound like "This thing is Tyler".

You can say "Soy Tyler," but a common form is "Habla Tyler," referring to yourself in the third person. Literally, "Tyler speaking."
