Is this right or even close to being right?

Conjugate each verb in parentheses to a negative informal command. 1. No (caminar) en el riachuelo. 2. No (subir) las piedras.
3. No (salir) del sendero.
4. No (pisar) las hormigas.
1) No camingo en el riachuelo. 2) No subgo las piedras.
3) No salgo del sendero.
4) No pisgo las hormigas.

1) No camine en el riachuelo. 2) No suba las piedras.

3) No salga del sendero.

4) No pique las hormigas.

Is this right yet?

On the page I got from Gerry, it did not have the word "pisar" on it. It only had the words " pescar and picar" on the page that were even close to pisar.
All wrong but most of them are almost right. The problem with the first three is that the instructions call for the informal (tú) command and you have written the formal (usted) form of the imperative. Thus:
1) No camines en el riachuelo
2) No subas las piedras.
3) No salgas del sendero.
4) No pises las hormigas.

As for #4 the verb is 'pisar' (and it's a completely regular -ar verb), so it ought to appear in any conjugator that you consult. However, your base sentence is incorrect, it should be "No piso las hormigas."

Those words are all the verbs you will commonly use.

So for your homework just click on

1) Caminar
2) Subir
3) Salir
4) Pisar

For each Verb word scroll down to where it says Negativo and compare the tu forms to the Subjunctivo table just above. Notice they are the same........that is how the negative commands work just like Heidi explained.

1) No camines...
2) No subas.....
3) No salgas.....
4) No pises.....

That is "the verbs" done so now look at Heidi's answers to get the finished sentences.

Come on Tiff ....go for it!

Conjugate each verb in parentheses to a negative informal command.

I am sorry i didn't even see this! I thought you had to use present simple here.

We use subjunctive in negative commandssmile

  1. No caminesen el riachuelo.
  2. No subas las piedras.
  3. No salgas del sendero.
  4. No pises las hormigas.

Is this right, or would u like mw 2 try again?

Here's my try:

1) No hice en el riachuelo.
2) No subi las piedras.
3) No salui edl sendero.
4) No pisce las hormigas.

I got this out of my Spanish book. There are a few more pages, if this is still not right. Trust me, I do not think that this is right.
