"Espero" This is currently a hit song in Mexico and on the Mexican radio stations in California. It is really a good tune -- it has been in my head for two days. Check it out.
I use this conjurgation of Esperar for "I wait, I hope, I expect ........

In English, "expect" comes from the same root, although its meaning is slightly different.
