'El sapo a la sapa tiénela por guapa', is just a very funny variation that Chegx gave us.

That's what I thought, thanks for replying. smile

Marcia, 'El amor es ciego', is the tradicional way of saying this.
'El sapo a la sapa tiénela por guapa', is just a very funny variation that Chegx gave us.
It means the same, it's just not as straight forward as the traditional way.
Say you are walking with your friend, and you see a couple holding hands. You tell your friend; 'She is not very pretty'. Your friend tells you; 'Neither is he, el sapo a la sapa tiénela por guapa'. They are both ugly, instead they see each other as if they were beautiful (pretty, good looking, guapa, guapo) and they manage to find love between them (El amor es ciego). I think is hilarious. LOL
