manesiste
Does anyone know what this word could mean'

My whole point is that is not a correct usage of Spanish. If you want to know how I slept, well, ask just that.however, If you want to know, how I feel, ask just that.
I'm pretty sure that Sally and Neil are correct that ¿Comó amaneciste? can mean "How did you sleep'," among other things.
I think this phrase is also used in several Latin American countries as a morning greeting, instead of "Buenos días" or "¿Cómo estás'" I heard it that way in Costa Rica.
"Did you get a good night's sleep'". means.¿ dormiste bien? or ¿como dormiste?
"Do you feel any better this morning'". is trnaslated as .....¿te sientes mejor esta mañana?
amanecer means, sun up or dawn,
so, como amanecistes means,......how do you feel upon awakening
case close
next case, please
Possibly a phrase that comes close is "Did you get a good night's sleep'". If you're asking because the person was unwell, you could say something like "Do you feel any better this morning'".

amanesiste como amanesiste?
it is not easy to translate this into englsh, it is asking how you feel this morning or at the time that you awoke.

My guess is like Sally's.
More context would be helpful.
Could it be ¿Comó amaneciste? which translates, How did you sleep'
