hi tengo que traducir subdelegado del gobierno en canarias, yo he escrito, 'subdelegate to the Canary Island Government, ' but my teacher has said this isn't the proper way to write it in english, can anyone help'

How about using "subordinate or subordinate delegate", perhaps that will satisfy him/her.
