acolar, acolitar, acolito
in Ecuador acolar means more or less to help someone out. to give a hand. Its used VERY often in southern ecuador. and when i think of the etymology i usually attribute it to the word "cola" or a line. acolar, is then to get in line... or to be ready and waiting in line to help someone out. Im not sure if this is really a correct etymology, but it works for me ![]()
