Thank you, too, from me - this response helps me with my problem of "da" and "dé", subject of another thread.

Exactly like "tenemos", but in subordinate clauses whenever you don't have the intention to inform others of what you think it is true. E.g.
Puede que tengamos suerte = Maybe we'll get lucky
You are not saying that you think that we are lucky, so you can't use indicative.
