En mi propia opinion, ésta oracion suena bien, pero sólo quiero saber si uso los prepositión correcto o no? gracias.

I find the sentence confusing in English and Spanish. I understand that you met again in Jan. 2007 after being separated for a year, but are you saying that after that she left again or explaiining why she left in Jan. 2006. If you are explaining why she left in 2006, then I think in English it would be

...trabajar juntos con su novio... sounds better to me, but I'm not a native.

The main mistake in your sentece is "we met" which means "Nos encontramos".
