Vocabulary sort option
In the vocabulary section the "Sort by" drop down box does not work.
Also can we have an option that lets us choose a vocab list by its number (it takes ages to get to the lists in the middle)

I agree with much you say Quentin. I have developed an interactive CD rom for learners of Engliah and know how much time that took me.
Yes, you are right. I switched between languages several times and now I can see the Sort options in English, but they do not actually sort the lists. We'll have to ask Heidita about why the Sort is being overridden. I know she was able to make sure her lists appeared on the front page so they must have contol over the placement of the lists and the default pages. Apparently the default setting is overriding the sort setting.
As to whether the suggestions are ever enacted, I would have to say rarely, but some are. In fairness, this site is staggeringly complex. What may seem a simple request might be technically too demanding. But it would be nice to, at least, hear a response to a suggestion stating that it can't be enacted for such and such a reason. The lack of response does convey the idea that they've turned a deaf ear to the community's input. I don't really feel that is the case here. I've been suggesting the creation of a site map. Heidita yesterday posted several links showing that there is (but not prominent) or was such a site map and also instructions on how to use the features on this site (another oft asked for suggestion). Also, we aren't privy to future plans. You suggestion that easier access is provided to the Vocabulary pages may not be enacted because Heidita is pushing to have many of these pages removed by purging old Lists containing errors or because of the newly enacted change to having Private/Public lists (a suggestion acted upon). Given the level of service and features provided already I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and if a suggestion isn't enacted there must be a valid reason beyond they just ignored it.

Thanks Quentin I'll try that. The lists are accessed through numbered boxes at the bottom of the page.
I know the contents of each list changes as the number of "views" changes but it would help if we could go to a specific numbered list. I'm new on this site in your opinion are our suggestions acted on'
