Spanish Childrens Story Proofread/Cuenta
Ok. Well. I have a project due for a Spanish Class in which we have to write a children's book in Spanish. It is about 10-15 Sentences long and I want to double check my work. English sentence followed by how I think it may be said in Spanish...and thats where yall come in, in order to correct my mistakes and revise if possible. I bolded the verbs that I was unsure about their usage, Preterite or Imperfect form, the story is in Past Tense.
Mi Cuenta
On the morning of Christmas Miguel woke up at seven.
En la mañana de Navidad Miguel se despertó a las siete.
Miguel loved Christmas a lot and was very excited.
Miguel le encantaba Navidad mucho y estaba muy emocionado.
Miguel woke up his parents in order to open the presents.
Miguel se despertó su padres para abrir los regalos.
Miguel asked for a toy and wanted to see if the toy was under the tree.
Miguel pedía un juguete y queria ver si el juguete estaba debajo de la arbole.
Miguesl parents came downstairs and sat down next to the tree with Miguel.
Los padres de Miguel venían abajo y sentaba al lado de la arbole con Miguel.
Miguel wanted to open his gifts first but his parents went to go first.
Miguel quería abrir su regalos primero pero su padres fueron primero.
His parents opened their gift. They recieved a card with money.
Los padres de Miguel abrían su regalo. Ellos recibieron una carta con dinero.
Miguel was next. ! He looked for his present but could not find it!
Miguel estaba al siguiente. ¡ÿl buscaba por su regalo pero no encontraba!
Miguel was not happy and began to cry.
Miguel no estaba felices y comenzaba llorar.
The parents of Miguel began to look for the present and found it under the tree.
Los padres de Miguel comenzaban buscar el regalo y encontraban el regalo detrás de la arbole.
Miguel was happy and opened the present. Miguel recieved the toy!
Miguel estaba felices y abría el regalo. ¡Miguel recibía el juguete!
Miguel played with the toy the rest of the day.
Miguel jugaba con el juguete todo el día.

La mañana de Navidad Miguel se despertó a las siete.
A Miguel le encantaba Navidad mucho y estaba muy emocionado. (encantaba = loved it very much)
Miguel se despertó su padres para abrir los regalos.
Miguel pidió un juguete y quería ver si el juguete estaba debajo de la árbol.
Los padres de Miguel bajaron y se sentaron al lado dl árbol. con Miguel.
Miguel quería abrir su regalos primero, pero su padres lo hicieron antes.
Los padres de Miguel abrieron su regalo. Ellos recibieron una tarjeta con dinero.
Miguel era el siguiente. ¡ÿl buscaba por su regalo pero no encontraba!
Miguel no estaba feliz y comenzó a llorar.
Los padres de Miguel empezaron a buscar el regalo y lo encontraban el regalo detrás de la árbol.
