The words of emigrated birds

In less than a month, on the 3rd of January, I have lived here for a year! The blurb I have written (for my friends in other parts of the world) documents my first year here (I'm changing blog-engine at the mo), the ups and downs, the laughter and the frustrations of not having a voice....

It then occurred to me that it would be very nice to hear about other peoples experiences of moving abroad, especially from those who moved to an other country without already speaking at least some of the language.

I'd start a group (if I knew how) so us emigrants could have a virtual campfire to share our stories, especially at those times when you are feeling a bit out on a limb........ funny things along the way; cultural clashes; was it what you expected; what do you miss the most; if you could change one thing, what would it be; things you wish you had known then that you know now; the hardest thing; tips; unexpected graces and experiences transcending the language barrier.........
