The adjective "aburrida" which is decribing the noun "persona" has to agree in gender and number.
ÿl es una persona aburrida
but
ÿl es un hombre grande
There is distinction between sex and gender in Spanish:
The sex of a man, a rooster and a male elephant is male
The sex of a woman, a female chicken and a female elephant is female
English has no grammatical gender, but Spanish does.
There are three cases to consider:
Un hombre is male, and the gender of this word is masculine
Una mujer is female, and the gender of this word is feminine
Un artista is male, but "artista" has no specific gender, so the agreement is done in masculine, since "un" is masculine.
Una artista is female, but "artista" has no specific gender, so the agreement is done in feminine, since "una" is feminine.
Un personaje can refer to a male or a female, but the gender of this word is masculine anyway
Una persona can refer to a male or a female, but the gender of this word is feminine anyway
Adjectives agree with nouns based on their gender, and "persona" is always feminine.
how to determine whether a number or month is feminine or masculine? For example is it: el diaz de Diciembre or la diaz de Diciembre?
El diez de diciembre is correct because this really says el día diez (el décimo día) de diciembre.

this is from the dictionary:
Es buena persona -> he's a good sort
so I would say: ÿl es una persona aburrida. I have to admit though I wasn't sure what the answer was.
'ÿl es una persona aburrida,' es correcto porque el adjetivo está describiendo la clase de 'persona' que es él.
