I'm assuming that U.m.c.Pml. means "usado más como pronominal." (Does anyone have a list of the abbreviations used by the DRAE? It's a little confusing.)

SierrasMama, please notice in Heidita's post that acordar can have a different meaning when it is used pronominally (acordarse) than when it is not.

Hola: Buenos díassmile

You can only distinguish them by use.

This turns up in the definiton:

acordar
6. tr. recordar (? traer a la memoria). U. m. c. prnl. Acordarse DE un hijo ausente

Recuerda que tienes que regar las plantas. Remember to water the plants.
Acuérdate de recordar las plantas.

¡Te recuerdo que debes venir a las ocho! I remind you to come at 8.
Acuérdate de venir a las ocho. Remember to come at 8.

Some people say: Me recuerdo (de) que/me....which is not correct.

acordarse: remember
recordar: remember or remind.
