Thank you very much everything has been really useful and yes I have used a typewriter but not that much, and it's just I went Blank when I saw the instructions for the assignment and people here told me double spaced was to leave 2 blank lines in between each written line, Thank you all.

I wondered how to say "double space" in Spanish. Look here:

Erika, there is single space, double space, triple space . . . Most of the time professors want double-spaced.

Good point! And obvious now that you mention it.

Erika is obviously too young to have used a typewriter, as anyone with that experience would never ask this question. hehe

Upon reflection, you must be using a word processor, or it wouldn't have said 12-point font.

Here is how to double space in MS Word:

Are you using a Word Processor (like MS Word or WordPerfect, for example)? Let us know and we can be of more help.

It means that you leave one blank line in between the written lines on ruled paper (assuming you mean handwriting).

It´s when

leave a blank line

between each line that you write.
