The sentence is fine, Eddy, but that "en absoluto" sounds a bit too much for me (and I can't explain why). "Ojalá no hubiera nacido nunca" sounds better.

However, none of these sentences have the idea of "Sometimes..." from the original one, and this "sometimes" is incompatible with "ojalá", which is absolute, due to this "May God...!" start.
