Keyboarding the word is great because your mind has to transfer the info to your fingers. Also, make a flashcard (small piece of paper, do not need a 3x5 inch card) and review daily.

Well I have increased my vocabulary thanks to the books I have read. Because in that way, you will find the same word repeated several times, and then it will be easier for you to remember it and use it in conversations as well. There are books for beginners too. So... I strongly recommend you to read as much as you can... always with the help of a dictionary.
That's how I learned English... hope it helps you with the Spanish languaje smile

Hello Thara
Write the word after you look it up. In your mind, use it in a sentence and sometimes later in the day go back and look at it again. I find that seeing it written helps.

I have the same problem, but Gus is right. There is no substitute for using the words as often as possible.

Learning a word in context definitely helps. I remember words that are discussed on this site much better than a word which is just picked out of the dictionary, because there's an association there.
