In Spain they use the expressions:
Me chifla y me mola for things that you really like -I'm not sure then if you can use it somehow for people'

If she said "Me vuelvo loco por ti," it would mean "I'm going crazy because of you" or "You're driving me crazy." That could convey the intended meaning, I suppose (not sure), but it could also be construed negatively, whereas the translation I gave has a positive connotation.
