De Colores
A beautiful song but what does it mean? Could an actual translator do it for me? Here are the lyrics:
iGracias!

Draped in color, draped in color are the fields in the spring
Draped in color, draped in color are the birds that come from outside
Draped in color, draped in color is the rainbow that we see shine
That is why the grand loves of many colors do please me
That is why the grand loves of many colors do please me
The rooster sings, the rooster sings cock-a-doodle-do
The hen, the hen cackles cackles cackles
The chicks, the chicks whistle whistle whistle
That is why the grand loves of many colors do please me
That is why the grand loves of many colors do please me
Draped in color, draped in color of brilliance and finesse is the dawn
Draped in color, draped in color are the thousands of reflections given off by the sun
Draped in color, draped in color is the diamond that we see shine
That is why the grand loves of many colors do please me
That is why the grand loves of many colors do please me.......
"Vestirse de colores" literally means to get dressed of colours, i.e. with colourful clothes. I this case it is a metaphor for the fields full of flowers, green grass and all the spring colours.
It also mentions that the reflections are colourful, and so is the aurora, the birds (and the pizzas, hehe)...
