Your native language is Spanish and you've never heard the word corcho? As in a sacacorchos (corkscrew), que saca el corcho de una botella de vino?

I've used and heard the word "corcho" dozens of thousands of times in my life in Spain. Apart from the bottle cork, the (cork) bark of the trees is also called "corcho", and also, informally, the styrofoam (or expanded polystyrene = poliestireno expandido).
