A very easy way to learn the different uses of aburrido:

Estoy aburrido = in English we use the ending ed

Estoy aburrido = I am bored

Soy aburrido = we use the ending -ing

Soy aburrido = I am boring

"Me estoy aburrida" wouldn't make sense, but what about this: Me aburro.

How is that different from "Estoy aburrido/a"? Can you say it both ways and is the meaning the same''?

"Estoy aburrido/a" describes it as a state as a result of something (e.g. you couldn't find anything interesting to do).
"Me aburro" is an ongoing thing: you are realizing that you are feeling, or beginning to feel bored. It is a more dynamic perspective, and still could get worse.

Your's is precisely the answer that I had written. Then after looking in the dictionary and seeing that "being bored" was translated using the pronomial verb aburrirse I erased my reply. I began to think that maybe it should be Me estoy aburrida. Didn't look correct. That looked like I'm bored with myself. Tell me though, why do we omit the se? (using the pronomial verb)
