proof reading of spanish translations

Hello! My name is Dana and I am hoping to have a 'polished' translation of a few English sentences into Spanish. If anyone has any input about what I translated I would be very appreciative! Thanks!

Here's what I have in English followed by my attempts at Spanish translation:

• I give up when the work gets too hard and partially complete the assignment.
  : Abandano cuando el trabajo es demasiado dificiil y completo parcialmente el trabajo.

-I am mostly in charge of my materials, my work, and myself.

Estoy en cargo principalmente de mis materiales, mi trabajo, y yo mismo.

-I continue thinking and working independently until the assignment is complete, even when the work is challenging.
:Sigo a pensar y trabajar en una manera independiente hasta que el trabajo esta completado.

-I participate, follow directions, have a positive attitude, make appropriate choices, and encourage others to do the same.
articipo, sigo las instrucciones, tengo una actitud buena, eligo de una manera appropriada, y ofrezco el animo a otros para hacer el mismo.
