Here is the poem from El leon, la bruja, y el ropero.

El mal se trocará en bien, cuando Aslan
[aparezca.
Ante el sonido de su rugido, las penas
[desparecerán.
etc.

Why are there brackets in there? Do they mean anything'

Well, there you go.

Then, the reason the bracket wasn't used in the sites I found on the Net is that the last word fit on the same line.

Sorry for the misleading info.

I'm pretty sure this is just some kind of editing artifact or type-setting error. I found this Spanish elsewhere on the Net without the brackets.
