How to say 'is'?
Hi, I'm new here and so far my spanish is terrible - but thats why i'm here :D
How do I say 'he is'?
The dictionary has no definition for 'is' so i'm stuck only with 'el'
Thanks

Is that all there is to it?
Just an Es.
Seems I was making it harder then needed.
Thank you so much!

hehe wow that is a better explanastion then what i did
Well . . . that's a simple question that has a very complex answer. There are two verbs in Spanish, both translated "to be" in English: ser and estar. If you search for either one of those in the "search forum" box, you will find many discussions about when to use which.
"es" is the conjugated form (third person singular) of "ser", and "está" is from "estar."
You don't need to say "él" in most cases in Spanish, except for emphasis or to make a distinction.
Please write your entire sentence, and then it can be translated.
oh so i guess since you are saying he is you would say el es...
es is the the term for is like she is old...ella es mayor...see'''
Because "is" is not the infinitive of a verb, but the third person singular of the verb "to be", so it doesn't appear in the dictionaries as such:
to be
I am
you are
He/she is
We are
You are
They are
You have to look up the verb "to be", and you'll get two main translations. Then you can check their conjugations using this page, and you'll see how they change for I, you, he..., pretty much like "to be" does.
