Heidita, just FYI, it would sound better to say:I will make an exception and leave this thread.

Thanks , Natasha. (wink, wink)

We need to be aware of the diference between the spanish, from Spain and the spanish from Mexico, I am aware Heidita of the meaning in Spain, you are correct, but in Mexico, it's never used like that, culo is usually a bad word here, refering to someones behind.

I have two guesses: culo or cuello.

Culo is not considered "dirty" in Spanish. Actually you use it for phrases like

el culo del vaso

queda un culito de agua en el vaso (just a little liquid left)

It is considered a vulgar word by children. When they want to say dirty words they say them all in a row:
caca, culo , pedo, pis

None of the listed is really vulgar.

cuello= neck

Mark, we need context.

This is the type of word that some might consider "dirty" as you can tell from it's definition in the dictionary section of this website. So much depends on the context of the word in a sentence and in the attitude of the person using the word.

Words are only sounds we make with our mouths. They are given meaning by the way our brains interpret them.
