comments to members
I just attempted to send a comment to another member and, after submission, got a message that I've never seen before to the effect that the comment would require review (by persons unspecified) before actually being submitted/sent. Since this is a member to whom I have previously sent comments, I'm wondering if this is some sort of new policy and 1) by whom will it be reviewed and 2) to what purpose wlil it be reviewed'

Heidita & Eddy, is there any possibility of improving the wording of the blurb that comes up in this case? We seem to get an unreasonable number of questions from users who think that some sort of board or who-knows-what is going to review their comment.

Earlier Heidita told me about private messages. Wow! All this stuff I never noticed before.
Join the club. I went on holiday for two weeks and when I returned, it was a completely different site.

Hi Samdie
In actual fact, I think settings appears at the top of all the pages. Just click there.

Hi Samdie This is not a new poloicy. This person has chosen to review all comments before they are posted onto his/her page. It will be reviewed by them and the purpose is that it might be something they do not want the rest of the forum to see. They may have only just changed their settings.
Fascinating! Since I know something of the member to whom I sent this comment, I can make an educated guess as to why he may have done this. But, what is the mechanism by which he did this?
You go to "my Page"
At the top of my page you will see "settings" click on this
In the list of my settings you will see "privacy" click on this
In the privacy list you will see "approve comments"
