marimacho is an active lesbian (not that there is anything wrong with that,as Sienfeld and Geoge used to say)
Yes, the word can be interpreted like that.
how about ahombrada
cuando era niña mi conducta era ahombrada
cuando era niña mi conducta teñia a varonil

jejeje, Problem is now it it 11 am here and everybody can see this. (wink, wink)
Well, anyway. marimacho is no a very adequate word if you are not using it in a sort of "friendly " atmosphere.
I mean, you can say this, as long as you use the right intonation. but this does not apply here.
I would say:
Me portaba como un chico/chicarrón
Como siempre, habrá más oiniones al respecto.

Here's some more.
marimacho masculine or feminine; niña feminine que se porta como muchacho
Well you should say something like "Mi conducta habitual era la de un varón" or "Me portaba como una total marimacho". Maybe "marimacho" is the equivalent for "tom boy", because "mari" comes from "María" and "macho" from "male". (stupid reasoning, I just copied it)
