This lesson is before object pronouns but I was wondering how you could say it, using the pronoun, I don't know where you would put acerca de.

The object pronouns always work alone; never with prepositions or equivalent, such as "acerca de", which must be followed by a noun or equivalent.

The prepositional phrase "acerca de" is used to talk about the subject introduced by the theme that follows. You can say "¿Qué piensas (acerca) de la decisión del Gobierno'", because the Government's decision is a subject open to discussion, like in "What do you think regarding this issue of the Government's decision'", but you wouldn't say something like "I need to think about the issue of what am I going to do".

In any case, it is used to give opinions about an issue.

I double clicked pensar & as a transitive verb, it means to think about or over. So I take that to mean, if you use the pronoun you don't need acerca de.

When I use the dictionary here Motley it has pensar when used transitively as 'to think about' I guess thats why 'acerca de' is not required....Nos das un poco mas informacion Heidi'
