HI there!
I'm kind of new on translating ex votos
so I 'm having a hard time figuring out this one.

Can somebody help me?

Thanks!

I believe it's best to say HOly Child of Atocha, yeap, yr right

About the exvotos, they aren't paying penitence but rather thanking God for his favors, we even say in Spanish: Gracias por los favores otorgados.
thx for the interest

am sorry I meant to write

I offer this statue to the saint child of Antocha because when I became ill in November 10th, 2003 his intervension cured me.

Does it have to be Saint child of Antocha. How about holy child of Antocha?

Retablo is a figure made of stone or wood or plastic that decorates an altar , an altar piece.

question for you, can exvoto be translated as paying a penitence( persuing a vow)

can we change the prayer to

II offer this statue, penitenceand gratitude to the Saint child of Atocha for restoring me to health, after I fell ill in November10th ,2003

I misspelled it's acudiendo

too formal, again yr translation didn't catch the exvoto feeling.
thx

acuendo is not a word. not sure what you want to say by using it here in this context.

But here's my translation: I dedicate an offering to the holy child of Atoche, for restoring my health through his devine intervention after being struck with illness on November 10, 2003.

I dedicate this offering to the altarpiece of Sto. Child of Atocha because when I fell ill in November 10, 2003, I became healthy again attending to his intersession .

You are completly right the thing is that there is no word for exvoto in english (in think).

I consider this is a good translation, thought too well written, didn't quite capture the exvoto feeling.

Thx!

yeap sure, this is a traditional mexican way of thanking God for it's favors. Here's the whole exvoto:

Dedico este retablo al Sto. Niño de Atocha porque el 10 de Noviembre del 2003 me pego una enfermedad acuendo a su interseción recobre la salud.

no punctuation plus grammar and spelling rules are not significant here

hoping to hear your thoughts!
