If you look at this definition for alcatraz: (I wonder if that's were the prison got its name')

Notice the second definition: "botany: arum"
If you do a search for "arum" you will see that it refers to a lily.

¿Simple, no?

Seems that you are not the only one confused by this painting. Notice the gender used by whoever translated the title in the link.
