Well said! This is the only confusion that should be avoided at all cost! Just look at these sentences:

He tenido un año/ano muy ocupado (I've had a very busy year/anus).

Este año/ano me ha parecido increíble (This year/anus was incredible)


Those are lovely example sentences. I´m having trouble typing this be cause I´m still laughing.

Well said! This is the only confusion that should be avoided at all cost! Just look at these sentences:

You have had a misspelling on your post title:

quantos anos would be "cuantos años".
