Anyone know a lot about quenas?

Anyone know a lot about quenas?

I have a cheap bamboo quena right now and I am thinking about getting a nicer one. I have seen professional quenas, which to my knowledge are just tuned better, correct me if I am wrong. Also the are bamboo quenas and then quenas made out of wood like rosewood. Is there a difference in sound because the rosewood ones seem to be more expensive. So al fin y al cabo, qué quena piensas es la quena perfecta para mí? Gracias

Hi, I don't much about quenas, but like any acoustic instrument, the materials are the key, but beyore buying a very expensive quena, make sure that your old quena still works, I mean, have you practiced a lot, and I mean A LOT and now you're sure that you just can't deal with the cheap bamboo quena', you may buy the most expensive quena in the world but it won't make you a pro, remember that.
Now, just like guitars, the woods give you the sound, you must find the one that satisfies you and that's the perfect quena for you (and it might be expensive, of course), and remember not to buy the first one you see in the store, tell the shop assistant to let you play it for a while, take your time to test its sounds and textures.
Well, I hope it can help you, let's see if there are other musicians around to add some advice.
