Chiribisca

Chiribisca

My partner's host mother (on my volunteer trip to Nicaragua) was a gossiper (Chismosa) and had called me a Chiribisca a couple mornings after I'd been hanging out late with the neighborhood boys and my aunt. They were disrespected because they all smoke and drink (very looked down upon in Nica). My neighbor, a really chill 18-year-old girl, explained it means wild and adventurous, so I just wanted to make sure.

Hi Danielle, bad spelling.

chirivisco.
2. m. Nic. Persona viva, traviesa, inquieta. U. t. c. adj.

This word is not used in Spain. AS you-can see it is especially mentioned to be used in Nicaragua.

it means: vivacious, lively, naughty
