Maniosa

Maniosa

Does anyone know the meaning of the word maniosa. I used the translation but it came up with no results. All I know is that the rapper Chingo Bling uses it in his songs when he's reffering to females. So I hope that it's nothing really bad because I don't want to offend anyone.

Yes, it is strange. If it is there, some people probably use the word like that, even if I'm not aware of it.

Heidita, I don't know who writes the dictionary, but I've never heared of this use in Argentina on my almost 50 years living there.

this is from RAE, strange.

HI Jose, this seem to be some kind of slang use, as in Spain this meaning does nto exist.

*mañoso, sa.
1. adj. Que tiene maña.

maña.

(Quizá del lat. vulg. 'man'a, habilidad manual).

  1. f. Destreza, habilidad.

darse ~.

  1. loc. verb. Ingeniarse, disponer los negocios con habilidad.

maño1, ña.

  1. m. y f. Ar. Expresión de cariño entre personas que se quieren bien.*

As you can see in Argentina it is apparently a sign of affection.

The right spelling in spanish for this word is: mañosa;
it does have different meanings, such as: someone who is spoiled and/or someone who demonstrates weak character in choosing alternative decisions, (for example: a person can say "I don't like to eat meat" but then goes to a restaurant and is ordering a meat dinner"
another example could be someone who said "i don't like to be kissed" but in reality, loves to be kissed.
in this scenario this person is a "mañosa"

I hope this helps.
