I just realized that Vernic was not referring to the same song I was. "Qué será, será" was the song I was talking about, but Feliciano released "Qué será" in 1999.

Sorry about that.

Really the author of "Que será" is a Puerto Rican singer named José Feliciano.

Qué será? - what would it be?

Pueblo mío que estás en la colina- Town of mine that lies on the hill
tendido como un viejo que se muere,- lying like an old man that is dying
la pena y el abandono son tu triste compañía,- the shame and abandonment are your only company
pueblo mío te dejo sin alegría. - Town of mine I leave you without happiness

Ya mis amigos se fueron casi todos- Almost all my friends have already left
y los otros partirán después que yo,- and the other ones will leave after me
lo siento porque amaba su agradable compañía- I'm sorry because I loved their company
Mas es mi vida tengo que marchar - But it's my life, I have to leave

Qué será, qué será, qué será. - What would it be? what would it be', what would it be?
Qué será de mi vida, qué será -What will become of my life? What will it be?
Si sé mucho o no sé nada, - If I know a lot, or I know nothing at all
ya mañana se verá y será lo que será. - It will be seen tomorroy and it will be what it will be

Amor mío llevo tu sonrisa- My love, I take your smile
que fue la fuente de mi amor primero,- which was the fountain of my first love
amor te lo prometo, cómo y cuando no lo sé- My love, I promise you, when and how? I don't know
mas sé tan solo que regresaré- I just know that I will be back

Qué será, qué será, qué será. - What would it be? (x3)
Qué será de mi vida, qué será- What will become of my life? What will it be?
En la noche mi guitarra dulcemente sonará- In tthe night, my guitar will sound
y una niña de mi pueblo llorará - And the girl of my town will cry
