I bought the car from her or for her

How would you translate these

I bought the car for her. (meaning I bought the car to give to her)

I bought the car from her.

In spanish I never see these phrases "from her" or "to her". Can some one shed some light on this.

We had a discussion about this a couple of weeks or so ago. This is a difficult concept for English speakers, and Silvia's answer does not really address the problem. Read the thread here:
