HOW DO U SAY DONT JUDGE ME OR B4 U JUDGE ME

My bad side is taking over again. Can you fluent speakers of Spanish language get back at people who send messages like the one above? What I mean is to abbreviate some words down to single character, include bad punctuation and grammar and feed it back to them. May be make a template sentence that could be used by someone like me, a very beginner in Spanish and nearly as good in English as I would like to be.

You may find this as a bad idea, go ahead and make me stand in the corner.

It is not modesty, but a thick head. I have been hacking at English for fifty years. I hope this does not give away how young I am. (Now, this is a place for a smiley.)

Now, if I just could put my thoughts in proper English one would understand me.

Zoltan, I'm sure nearly all of us wish our second language were as good as your English. No need for modesty on your part.

My favorite stupid line is from the Music Man.

"whatayatalk. whatayatalk, whatayatalk, whatayataalk, whatayatalk'"

I wonder how one would communicate this with "chat Speak"'

I don't know about the emoticon, it sometimes moderates a remark one makes so we don't roll up our sleeves and make fool of ourself. Now, if I just could put my thoughts in proper English one would understand me.
I think emoticons became popular in the BBS (bulletin board system) era. I operated one for many years.

Not being able to spell is one thing. As a high school teacher, I'm more frightened by teenagers who don't seem to be able to write in sentences (let alone paragraphs). I like this "venting" discussion!! (Is it OK to post smiley faces on this site') Like this:

tongue laugh

grin

I was in shock when I saw that Zoltán had posted that discussion, now I understand why.
Maybe those discussions should be deleted.
Chat or text talk drives me crazy.

In many forums "chat talk" is strictly forbidden

Such a writing style is often called "leet (from the word elite) speak," which originally referred to the use of numerals or special characters to replace letters, but is now used more broadly to refer to abbreviations such as OMG (oy my god) and 4 U (for you).

Heidita, you say that such writing is forbidden here (and I agree with that decision, since this is a forum for proper language usage), but another common feature of leet speak is over-exclamation (such as "That's really funny!!!!!!!"), and I can think of one moderator here who has that bad habit. {wink} One bit of leet speak that you might like, though, is the following. Can you figure it out? (No hints from others, please.)

Good thinking Silvia.

What is your native language? It could be an obstacle, until you become more knowledgable of Spanish and English. All messages should be replied, maybe by doing it correctly and correcting the message is a way of showing the way.

I cannot see how can "chat talk" be supported. (So, that is the way that garbage called.) I hate that it when 'English learning' people are exposed to this. They may think this is the way to communicate to blend in. I have many faults when it comes to English, but I do not do it on purpose.

jeje, zoltán, this made me laugh.

In many forums "chat talk" is strictly forbidden, we do not allow it here either ( I thought you had posted it this way, jejej).

My personal opinion is that in the end peple will not know how to spell or write correctly any more. children have a serious problem, I can see that already.

Let's wait for more opinions. People might want to say something in favour.

Oh, is there a forum for this kind of a venting. I am embarrassed to do this in 'education' forum.
