I agree más o menos makes the most sense to me.

The only way I've ever heard/seen the hyphenated version "kind-of" used has been equivalent to "más o menos."

Actually the phrase translates literally into English, so another way to think of it would be "more or less."

Like if someone asked me "¿Hablas español'" I would reply "Más o menos."

mas o menos is "kind of" as in "in a way", "sort of"
(it's very informal)

All of the other suggestions above are for "kind of" as in "a type of"

I found two more in an on-line dictionary;

una especie de
más o menos

Those are also kind-of kind-of.
