When Arnold Schwarzenegger, in The Terminator, said "I'll be back," it was translated into Spanish as volveré. But both verbs can be used in this meaning. On the TV show Ocurrió Así, the announcer always says "Cuando regresemos...," which would be "When we come back..." in English. "To be back" can also be translated as "Estar de vuelta."

Your question has been asked many times at WR. Go to the following site, and look under "Forum discussions with the word(s) 'volver regresar' in the title."
