Accessories to be determined
I have no other context except that it is a web page describing upgrades and options.
Would "accesorios a definir" be a good translation for this phrase'

Shouldn't it be better "por determinar" instead of "por determinarse"'. Here I don't see the sense of using the pronominal verb.
Indeed. I forgot to mention that.

I wondered the same thing. And now that you mention it, I think I agree that it sounds better without the se. As I learned it, the construction "por + infinitive" equates to "to be + past participle."
As for the rating, Sally, it wasn't I, either, but the rating is of the thread (the original question), not the replies, so Lazarus couldn't have rated himself in any case.

I hadn't even noticed there is a rating until you mentioned it.
Thanks for your input. I used "accesorios por determinarse". Who rates the discussions? Anyone? I noticed that this one has a rating of four stars. Did you give yourself that rating lazarus? HaHa!
I agree with James: he is rightfully trying to avoid the construction "a definir" which grammarians criticize so much (it is a copy of a French structure,a Gallicism), but this use of "a" is becoming so popular, which eventually will have to be regarded as standard. For the moment it is best to avoid it if another preposition can do the same job (e.g. "por").
Maybe you could say "accesorios: por determinarse." Or maybe "pendientes."
