It's an adjective.. it means "naughty" or "mischievous".
If you tried to look it up and couldn't find it, that's probably because "traviesa" is the feminine form of the adjective, and in the dictionary they're listed in the masculine form.
So if you look up "travieso", you'll find lots of entries.
A common expression is "niño travieso" or "naughty child/boy".
