business correspondence ... will be able to meet
Hello,
Please check my translation...
I would greatly appreciate meeting with you in order to discuss the case but due to professional commitments I will not be able to travel long distance. I will be able to arrange video conferencing on July 11, and would like to meet with you then. Please contact me in order to confirm a time that you might be able to meet me on that day.
Gracias

Aha now I got it ... thanx mateuj and Guillermo.
By example, if you say "me gustaria discutir este tema contigo", it equivalent to saying "me gustaria intercambiar opiniones contigo sobe este tema" and has no negative connotations.
If I say "no me interesa discutir contigo", it means "I don't want to argue with you".
Or if I say "(Ellos) Tuvieron una fuerte discusion" it more like saying that they had a fight.
"Discutir" not always has negative connotations
Can you please tell me when discutir can have negative connotation'
"Discutir" not always has negative connotations and is perfectly applicable in this context. Forums all along the web are called "foros de discusión" with no negative meaning
Yura thank you for clearing the point of discutir.
I used to think debatir is the word for arguing. So in general when I want to apply the word 'discuss' I should use hablar? For example - discuss the situation or discuss something over coffee etc...
wow thank you all for helping me out.
Gracias
Giti.
"Discutir" usually has a negative connotation, as in "argue." "Hablar del caso" would be fine. What is not quite clear (neither in English nor Spanish) is whether you want to meet in person or arrange a video conference. No need for "de" before "profesional," but add "una" before "videoconferencia." "...a que hora podemos reunirnos" (present or near future) or "podremos" (future) would probably work better. If you really want to use potential simple then use "podríamos."
Is this a woman you are going to meet? then la is correct if not it has to be le.
It's not literal, but it means what you want to say I guess.
