It's a conjugation of "haber" (the same verb that we get "hay"-there is/are from). In this tense it means we have....(done something). I forget the technical term for it.

emos don´t exists only "hemos" that is the 1st. plural person indicative present.

is correct to say : "le hemos mandado (o enviado ) una carta"

but the word "hemos" always must to write with h "hemos" althouth the consonant "h" not it is pronounced in spanish.
