Hi there,I met a Catalan girl over here in Ibiza but she's turned out to be a bit wierd,I was just wondering if anyone knows how to say "wierd" in Spanish so I can explain to her that I really don't understand where she's coming from!Thanks in advance.

Careful if you read novels, because some people still use "bizarro" with its original meaning : brave, generous, magnificent. I wouldn't be the first time I have to explain others why the hero of the story, being so perfect, can be described as "bizarro". Of course, the influence of other languages is too strong for us, so people now prefer to use "bizarro" as "weird".

"Estrafalaria" also means careless and untidy.

I went to the translation page and followed up on "odd," and here's a cute word, "estrafalaria." It's like, zany.

But you probably mean weird, rara/extraña. There are some great words there, though:

extraño, bizarro, curioso, estrafalario, excéntrico, extravagante, peculiar, peregrino, raro, singular.
