todo vs. entero

todo vs. entero

Is there a good way to tell which of these words to use when? Or does it matter? Here are a couple sentences I'm pretty sure are correct:

Jugabamos el día entero.
Te amo con toda la corazón.

What about the following?

All this talk is making me tired.
The kids played the alphabet game all the way home.
If you eat all the pizza I'll kill you.

If you are like me, then entero is a very important word. When you go to a taquería for un burrito, they will ask you if you want refritos, negros, o enteros. heheh

All this talk is making me tired. Todo esto me cansa mucho

The kids played the alphabet game all the way home. ...jugaron durante todo el camino a casa.

If you eat all the pizza I'll kill you. ..la pizza entera/toda la pizza....

Just in case you wished to use todo/entero, here are some possible translations.

and yes, Motely is right: corazón , masculino.

James, thank you -- I didn't think of using "tanto".

(For some reason the site is not letting me reply to your post. It (the site) seems a little quirky today.)

Good catch! I missed it, and just copied and pasted Natasha's word. So it should be todo mi corazón.

Jugabamos el día entero.
You can also say "Jugabamos todo el día." Kind of like the difference between "all day long" and "the whole day."

Te amo con toda la corazón.
For some reason, it sounds better to me to say Te amo con toda mi corazón. I know we've been taught not to use the possessive with body parts, but still.

All this talk is making me tired.
Tanto hablar me cansa (me está cansando).

The kids played the alphabet game all the way home.
Los niños jugaron el juego de alfabeto hasta llegar a casa.

If you eat all the pizza I'll kill you.
Si te comes toda la pizza te mato.
