Should I use "pienso" when I want to say "I think"?

Should I use "pienso" when I want to say "I think"?

I was not sure if I used the correct verb when I was trying to write a sentence - "antes pensé que no me quisiste". I want to know if I used the correct verb - "pensar" to express "think". Also want to know if there are other verbs that are very common to be use in Spanish to express "think".

Muchas gracias de antemano,

Marco

You can use "parecer" with an added pronoun - To appear

A mi me parece que no - I don't think so or more literally, it appears to me no.

me parece que - I think that
