What is the official term for transcript in Spanish? I have a friend who needs to contact her University in Peru to request original certified transcripts and she is not sure how to pose this request in an equivalent term. I've checked the dictionaries but none have an equivalent term. Please advise. Thanks!

Hola,

Otra opción podría ser, "una copia del currículo académico".

I think, the word "transcripción" is best Spanish substitute for an English word "transcript" and, or "transcription".

In Spain the term used in universities, schools... is "certificado de estudios" or "certificado académico", and you'll probably have to specify sometimes "una copia del..." if you want a copy, and not the original documents. Sometimes it is also called "expediente (académico)", but this word is more used for business and judicial documents.
