There is a Soap Opera called "Amas de Casa Desesperadas".
The rest of the words I know, but I would like to know what Amas means.

RicardoN's answer is the most pertinent; an Ama de Casa is a "Housewife." Another similar phrase is "Ama de llaves." The words say "Love of Keys," but as a phrase it's "Housekeeper." - verdeva, ABR 2, 2012

Yes, I was wondering, because the verb amas would not make much sense there.

in masculin "amo" is boss
"ama de casa" is reffered to "queen to the home"

for example : "si mi amo" = "yes my boss" or "yes my Sr." but is a little dramatic
you used its whit a king, queen, emperator something like that.

but the expression "ama de casa" is very popular

Saludos ! smile

In this case Amas desesperadas is Desperate Housewives.
Amas as a short form of amas de casa.
