Just to clarify:
Extraño: depends on the context
Te extraño : "I miss you"
Eso es extraño: "That's strange"

Aquí en México esto es lo que ellos significan........
deseando- desiring
extraño- strange/forigen
poderte- be able

Thanks for your help. I just returned from a trip to Cuba, met lots of great people. I will send you the phrases to keep things in context. I want to take lessons in Spanish as soon as I am able to get this arranged. I live in Victoria. BC.

Deseando is desear/deseo means wish, want
estraño is estrañar means miss " I miss you"
poderte is poder means be able,can,may " I will like to be able to kiss you/to see you.
poder means power too.
Deceando is Deseando= present participle verb desear
-Estoy deseando ver la película/I´m looking forward to seeing the film
-Estoy deseando verte pronto otra vez/I´m longing to see you again soon
Estrano is Extraño, Present indicative, 1ªperson.
Verb Extrañar (to miss, to surprise)
Extraño, adj=strange
Poderte is verb Poder
Poderte Ver is the same tha Poder Verte/ To be able to see you
